Dr. Timothy D. Lucas, a retired United States Marine Corps First Sergeant, honorably served his country for 21 years. Alongside his distinguished military career, Dr. Lucas has dedicated his life to ministry, serving in various roles such as Assistant Pastor, Minister of Music, Worship Leader, Choir Director, Men's Department President, Sunday School Director/Teacher, and Youth Leader. He answered the call to preach the gospel in 1998 and was licensed and ordained as an Elder under Pastor Elmer Ross, Senior Pastor of Fresh Anointing World Christian Center.
Dr. Lucas traveled extensively during his military tenure, including a pivotal time in Okinawa, Japan, where he and his family joined Kingdom Outreach Ministries International (KOMI). Under the mentorship of Pastor Joseph W. King and Evangelist Kimberly King, Dr. Lucas served faithfully as Assistant Pastor and Minister of Music, among other key roles. Recognizing his calling, Pastor King commissioned him to establish a church in Virginia. Dr. Lucas faithfully planted and pastored Kingdom Outreach Ministries International–Virginia (KOMI-VA) for five years, transforming it into a resource hub for spiritual, emotional, and physical wellness within the community.
Following God’s direction, Dr. Lucas transitioned from pastoral leadership in Virginia to South Carolina, where he served as President of the Pamplico Community Development Center. There, he inspired and organized community efforts to renovate a multi-million-dollar facility, providing critical resources to the area. Upon completing this assignment, he returned to Virginia to support churches in the National Capital Region.
Dr. Lucas holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education and a Doctor of Ministry from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University, where he was honored with the Allix B. James Community Service Award. His accolades include the Army’s Annual Financial Manager Award for Education, Training, and Career Development (2024), the Meritorious Service Medal, and numerous military and civilian commendations.
Dr. Lucas is married to his wife of 33 years, First Lady Rochelle Lucas, who serves alongside him in ministry. Together, they are blessed with children and grandchildren who bring immense joy. Dr. Lucas is the author of Becoming a True Worshipper, now available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Through his ministry, Dr. Lucas continues to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, working to fulfill his God-given mission: to reach a diverse community, perfect the saints, and impact the world through the power of Christ.
Dr. Lucas recently founded the Adult Autism Resource Center in Huntsville, Alabama, a program dedicated to teaching churches how to enhance the lives of adults with autism through social engagement, skill-building, and community integration.
